SRAAA is committed to protecting the privacy and data of students, agents, and partner institutions. All members must adhere to the following principles:
- Lawful and Transparent Processing
- Collect only the data necessary for educational counselling and processing, with informed consent.
- Data Minimisation
- Avoid excessive data collection. Only gather information required for institutional compliance.
- Storage and Security
- All student and agent data must be stored securely using password-protected systems and encrypted platforms.
- Access Control
- Limit access to personal data strictly to authorised personnel within the agency or SRAAA framework.
- Third-party Disclosure
- Do not share client data with third parties (including institutions) without prior written consent.
- Right to Access
- Agents have the right to access the data held about them and request corrections or deletion where necessary.
- Data Retention
- Retain Agents data only for as long as they are willing to be members of SRAAA— or has been permanently banned/terminated.
- Breach Notification
- In case of a data breach, notify SRAAA immediately and take all reasonable steps to contain and rectify the issue.
- Regular Review
- Agencies must review and update their data handling practices annually or when regulations change.
