Welcome to ISIPP Canada

Welcome to the Canada destination track of ISIPP.

This training is designed for students travelling to Canada for study. It will help you understand what Canada expects from you as an international student and what you should expect from life and study in Canada.

By the end of this training, you should understand:

  • your study permit responsibilities
  • your legal work limits
  • the real cost of living in Canada
  • what Canada universities expect academically
  • how to access medical help and understand provincial health systems
  • how to stay safe and avoid scams
  • how to behave respectfully in a different social and cultural environment
  • how to think about post-study planning lawfully

Eligible students in Canada can generally work up to 24 hours a week off campus while classes are in session, and they can generally apply for a PGWP within 180 days of receiving confirmation that they completed their programme, if eligible.
