How We Support Nigerian Students Abroad
Access to SRAAA Registered Agents
Nigerian students will have access to the official SRAAA database of verified Nigerian student recruitment agents operating in Nigeria. This ensures transparency, professionalism, and accountability in the recruitment process.
Pre-Departure & Orientation Support
SRAAA mandates that all registered agents provide comprehensive pre-departure support, including information on university policies, academic expectations, and cultural adaptation.
Students will receive an official University–SRAAA guide covering student rights, visa compliance, and access to welfare services in their host country.
Legal & Advocacy Services
SRAAA is collaborating with universities to ensure emergency, legal, and academic support for students facing discrimination, visa complications, or unfair treatment.
SRAAA works in partnership with international student offices to ensure that student grievances are addressed promptly and fairly.
24/7 Student Helpline & Crisis Support
A dedicated helpline is available for students to report the following concerns:
- Academic or learning difficulties
- Visa and immigration issues
- Unfair treatment or discrimination
- Accommodation, Tuition fee payment and financial challenges
Students needing emergency assistance can email: ispo@sraaa.org.
SRAAA will liaise directly with university student affairs teams to facilitate swift resolution of reported issues.
Student Mentorship & Alumni Support Networks
Nigerian students requiring academic mentorship will first be encouraged to contact their university’s student support manager.
If adequate support is not received, SRAAA will intervene and collaborate with the university to assign a mentor from the Nigerian alumni community.
Alumni mentors will provide guidance on academic success, career planning, and cultural integration.
Accommodation & Welfare Assistance
Partnering universities will provide verified accommodation lists to help Nigerian students avoid housing fraud or unsafe living conditions.
SRAAA will support students facing accommodation issues by working alongside universities and student housing providers to find suitable solutions.
The association is committed to supporting a safe, inclusive, and empowering international student experience.
